Okotoks and all municipalities across Alberta are facing significant challenges in how we pay for the local services residents want and need. While there is pressure to keep property taxes low, or even reduce them, many factors are affecting municipal budgets and Council’s ability to fund the services, equipment, and infrastructure needed for a thriving community.

Many of these factors are outside the Town’s control, limiting Council’s options as they work to balance the budget and meet community needs.
