The budget is the plan for how tax dollars and other funding will be allocated to provide the services Okotokians count on, as well as to build and maintain roads, recreation facilities and other important Town infrastructure. This final year of the 4-year budget will be focused on service levels.

The feedback you provided has been shared with Council to provide insight into what is important to Okotoks residents. This is one piece of information that will be weighed alongside many other factors and provincial obligations that Council must consider as part of the budget deliberations.

  • 2025 Budget Approved

    On November 19, 2024, Okotoks Council approved several amendments to the 2025 budget, focusing on relevance and doing what we heard was important to Okotoks’ residents and businesses. These adjustments have resulted in a 2025 property tax increase that is lower than originally forecasted. Other highlights include a reduction in utility rates, and changes to dog, urban hen and business licensing fees.
