To help improve Okotoks’ water system and support future growth, the Town is upgrading water mains and replacing aging infrastructure in portions of the Suntree and Tower Hill neighborhoods.

A second dedicated water main is required to improve system resiliency and to support growth in Wedderburn, North D’Arcy and future lands in north Okotoks. In addition, aging infrastructure in the vicinity of the Tower Hill Pump Station and near the intersection of Milligan Drive and Northridge Drive requires replacement.

The work is being done in stages along Milligan Drive and is anticipated to be completed by mid-November 2025.

This project requires:

• Full westbound lanes closures at Milligan Drive between Visser Way to Veterans Way until mid-October, weather permitting.
• Temporary road closure on Waldron Avenue between Robinson Drive and Visser Way from September 30 - October 22, weather permitting.
• Access maintained for local residents
• Detours in place 24/7:
  • Lane closures at Milligan Drive between Visser Way to Veterans Way - Westbound traffic on Milligan Drive will be shifted to the south lanes between Visser Way and Veterans Way, then redirected back to the north lanes.
  • Waldron Avenue closure: Traffic detoured from Waldron Avenue to Visser Way and along Robinson Drive
• Tower Hill tennis court parking lot closure until approximately November 7.
