About the Project

To help improve Okotoks’ water system and support future growth, the Town is upgrading water mains and replacing aging infrastructure in portions of the Suntree and Tower Hill neighbourhoods. This work will help make the system more reliable and support nearby areas like Wedderburn and D’Arcy, as well as future development in north Okotoks. To complete the work, there will be phased temporary lane and road closures on Waldron Avenue, Robinson Drive and Milligan Drive. Pathways will remain open; some sidewalk closures expected.

Construction Updates

Milligan Drive Lane Closures

To facilitate infrastructure improvements between Visser Way and Northridge Drive, there will be intermittent lane closures on Milligan Drive from May 22 to the end of September, weather permitting. The work will be completed in phases and require traffic and pedestrian detours as shown below.

Phase 1: May-August


Phase 2: July - September


Waldron Avenue Road Closure Extended to Week of May 26

Temporary road closure on Waldron Avenue between Robinson Drive and Visser Way. A detour will be setup while the road is closed as shown on the map below. The sidewalk on the east side of Robinson Drive at Waldron Ave will also be closed and detours set up.
